I am a beginning programmer. I started picking up python during covid as a hobby. Sometimes I wish I had done sourdough instead, or maybe running, but I tried my hand at coding and I honestly really enjoy it when I have time. As I create webpages or webapps I will add them here.

This is a page that has but a single button. Press the button and it returns a verse of scripture from what Latter-day Saints like me call the “standard works”, our canon. It pulls from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants. I plan to at some point add books of scripture from other faith traditions. The name comes from when Nephi testified, “I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning” (1 Nephi 19:23) and we all have flipped through the scriptures randomly. This one is really simple. There are so few people here who attend any sort of church, for various reasons. Of course church affiliation is down across the society, but there is more to it than that I think. A major reason is that there are just so few options, and the options that are available are not easily available to find. worshipinaviano.com attempts to find all local English-speaking worship communities and list them with contact information and meeting times and locations in one place.
